Babylonstoren In the Know Brochure

Client Brief

Babylonstoren is situated near Franschhoek and dates back to 1692. The fortunes of this historic fruit and wine farm took a turn ten years ago when it fell under the gaze of former magazine editor Karen Roos. Her passion for historic Cape Dutch style led to an authentic yet contemporary restoration that projects the farm into the future. Babylonstoren offers a range of sophisticated guest accommodation. We were tasked to design the range of “In the Know” booklets for their hotel rooms. The set consisted of booklets for the Farmhouse, Garden Cottages, Fynbos Cottages and Manor House.

Our Solution

The chickens that features on the front cover plays a key role at Babylonstoren. They are a delightful company in the garden and their eggs are collected daily to be served at Babel and the Greenhouse. We incorporated illustrations in the booklets as well as a set of icons for farm activities.
