Delush Wines Social Media Management

Client Brief

Delush Wines is a young, vibrant, colourful brand with an ambitious personality. The main message they wanted to communicate, rested on their four pillars: sophistication, ambition, boldness and independence. G2 proved the value of social media by starting conversations with Delush Wines’ followers and empowering them to #TurnItOn and #LiveDelush.

Our Solution

To avoid merely duplicating content on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, we analysed their social media analytics and made data-driven decisions to set a proper social media marketing strategy in motion.

Delush Wines’ strongest following and engagement are on Facebook. Here we shared all the updates from the wine brand which included


  • latest blogs, recipes and quizzes on the website,

  • latest events and launches,

  • competitions,

  • brand and recipe videos,

  • polls and more.

To continue engaging with followers, we managed several competitions and social media campaigns. Closer to the festive season, we asked the followers what they would write on a Christmas card and who they would send it to. Five lucky winners were chosen to win Delush Wines and had their Christmas wishes featured in a blog. Together with their wine, we designed and printed their Christmas wishes on postcards they could then use for the festivities.

For Instagram, we took a visual-first approach and considered both individual posts and the overall feed when viewing the Delush Wines profile. The message of the individual posts had to be apparent from the visual elements while being aligned with the overall brand message.

The monthly content plan for Instagram either comprised of 6 or 9 posts (or blocks) to create units/clusters of content and to portray the month’s theme. Incorporating a golden thread into the content and design was one of our main priorities. Because Instagram is so interactive, we also experimented with filters, stories, videos and stickers to stay connected with the fans. (They loved it).

The Result

Overall engagement on Facebook increased 181% and we saw a whopping increase of 963% in comments specifically. The following grew 87% compared to the previous fiscal.

The following on Instagram increased 94% and we received 124% more engagement, compared to the previous fiscal.
